Throughout his teenage years, Tj spent his time refining his artistic ability filling sketchbooks with tattoo art and designs and researching the industry. This is what essentially earned him his spot as an apprentice. In 2004, Tj began his career at age 18 with a traditional apprenticeship. He spent close to 4 years shadowing 2 artists, maintaining his shop chores and responsibilities while learning every aspect of the craft before ever touching human skin. In 2009, Tj was hired at Agaru Tattoo and Body Piercing. It didn't take long for him to find his edge as a full time artist. Applying his knowledge of the industry and as his rigorous work ethic, Tj began to see great progress in his work. His friendly attitude and attention to detail is what encourages his clients to refer their friends and family. It is quite apparent from his portfolio that he is capable of many tattoo styles including typography, geometric, black and grey, full color, realism, traditional, portraits, cover ups and restorations. He is not limited to a preferred style or specialty, remaining a well-rounded artist is one of the things Tj enjoys most in his career.
