Checkups can help keep your healing piercing on track and catch potential issues as they arise. At least one checkup is recommended for most piercings, usually within the first 2-3 months. At this checkup we will make sure that your healing is off to a good start, and we can typically downsize your jewelry from the initial length. Jewelry for initial piercings needs to be a bit longer to allow for normal swelling; downsizing this jewelry to a more snug fit is an important step in the healing process to avoid complications that could arise from the jewelry being too long. The service fee for this initial checkup and downsize is waived when scheduled within the suggested timeframe for your piercing. Some piercings may require more than one downsizing before they are fully healed. You can schedule a checkup for your healing piercing at any time. During your checkup we will:

• Thoroughly clean your piercing and jewelry, removing any stubborn buildup in hard to reach areas
• Assess healing progress
• Downsize iewelry as necessary
• Troubleshoot any issues or concerns and recommend next steps
