FAQ: Frequently Asked Questions
How much do you charge for tattoos?
It is often difficult to accurately estimate the price of a tattoo. It is not until the final draft has been made and all of the details on the piece have been finalized that a most fair price can be given. We have a $60.00 minimum and the price varies based on many factors; such as size, placement, style, black and gray, color, etc.. If the tattoo is completed in one session, it will be priced out fairly according to these details. If it is a piece that would be worked on over several sessions, the hourly rate of $120.00 will apply.
How much do you charge for piercings?
Our piercing fee is $60.00 for the first piercing and $30.00 for each additional piercing performed in the same sitting, plus the cost of jewelry. Pricing on jewelry depends on the brand, material, size and style. You may contact our piercer directly for starting prices ofthe jewelry used for any specific piercing.
Can I bring my own jewelry to be pierced with?
We will only perform initial piercings with jewelry selected from our studio at the time of the procedure. This allows us to guarantee that the jewelry in your fresh piercing is of high-quality, implant grade materials and is properly fit to your body to create the best conditions for safe, easy healing.
Can you change my jewelry for me?
We are happy to assist with jewelry changes or other maintenance of your piercing, whether it was preformed at our studio or elsewhere. You may bring your own jewelry to be used in a healed piercing, and we are always happy to help you pick out a piece of high-quality jewelry in the studio. Any jewelry changes or installations will have a service fee of $20.
Do I need to make an appointment?
Walk in tattoo requests are handled to the best of our abilities depending on the size and complexity of the piece as well as artist availability. Please keep in mind that our artists tend to keep a lengthy schedule of custom projects, so we do not always have availability to accept walk ins. You are encouraged to call ahead to check availability, and setting an appointment for your tattoo is always the best way to guarantee your spot.
Body piercing and jewelry service walk ins are accepted 6-7:30pm Tuesday & Friday and 1-6:30pm on Saturdays. Availability may be limited, so it’s always best to book an appointment! Please visit our piercing appointments page for scheduling information.
How do I book an appointment?
To set an appointment for consultation or tattoo, any of our artists can be contacted directly through their individual email addresses. Each artist handles their own schedule of projects, so direct contact with the artist of your choice is the fastest way to get your appointment set. When requesting a tattoo appointment please provide as much detail as you can about the project; including any reference photos, placement, approximate size, and any other requests or specifications that you may have. Your tattoo artist will set up a time and date to meet in person for consultation if necessary. All tattoo appointments will require a deposit to hold your spot. Deposit amounts may vary and are determined by the artist. All deposits are credited toward the final price of the tattoo at the time of your appointment. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, you have until 24hrs before your appointment to do so without losing your deposit.
Body piercing and jewelry services can be scheduled via our piercing appointments page.
Do your artists work on Sundays?
Sunday hours may be available by appointment. If you would like to set a Sunday appointment, contact your artist directly to discuss availability.
Do you pierce and/or tattoo minors?
Yes. However, the minimum age for tattoo or piercing is 16 years old. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, both must provide valid photo ID, and a birth certificate (original or certified copy!) or other proof of guardianship will be required. If the minor does not have a state or federal ID, a current school ID may be acceptable. In addition, we require that our parental consent form be notarized by an outside source for each procedure on a minor. You can find this in the forms tab of our website or you can pick one up at the studio. The parent or guardian is required to be present to sign off on the procedure. They are permitted to leave after the details are finalized and the proper documents are signed; The minor will not be authorized to make any changes to the tattoo design or piercing without the parent or legal guardian present.
What sterile measures are taken?
All staff members are trained in proper cross-contamination prevention, experienced in setting up and maintaining a clean, safe work environment, and required to pass a yearly blood-borne pathogens course. We use a hospital grade steam autoclave on site to sterilize all reusable equipment. Our autoclave is tested on a monthly basis by MesaLabs spore testing service; the spore test results are available upon request. All needles are sterile, single use and disposed of immediately after use.
Can I have a sketch made before I set an appointment?
All artists on staff keep a schedule of appointments and custom projects. The best way for our artists to remain efficient is to handle each design in the order that it falls on their schedule. If you have a consultation prior to your appointment, the artist may offer a rough sketch of the project at this time. When you arrive for your appointment, a more finalized drawing will be prepared. You will be given the chance to review and discuss this design with your artist and any final changes can be made at this point. The artist will then prepare the final draft and stencil, based on your input and specifications, sizing included.
Do you do white ink/hand/finger/foot tattoos?
As professionals, we must inform all of our clients about the risks associated with any tattoo, particularly in cases where the healed product may be less than ideal. The long-term look of your tattoo will be fully discussed. Once the artist is satisfied that you are fully informed of the possible risks, they may offer these (and similar) types of tattoos at their individual discretion. You may be required to sign an "informed consent" form stating that your artist has discussed any potential issues with you prior to the tattoo. White ink, hand, foot, or any other tattoo that is understood, prior to the procedure, by both artist and client, to be highly likely fade, discolor, or become otherwise flawed through the natural healing process will be accepted on a case by case basis and will not be offered free touch ups.
Each artist reserves the right to refuse any tattoo that they do not believe will have a quality result.
Do you do cover- ups/fix-ups/finish incomplete tattoos?
Yes. Our artists are experienced with successfully covering or giving new life to existing tattoos. These projects come with a high level of responsibility and require proper planning. In some cases, the artist will need to do multiple consultations to properly evaluate and plan their approach and to discuss with you what will work well for your specific tattoo. Each artist reserves the right to decline the project, based on their professional opinion of whether the proposed cover-up, fix-up, or addition will have the desired effect on the existing piece.
